Opening and Presentation 12:00PM est

12:00 - 12:10 - Ballroom

Join last year's keynote presenter Sandra Brown for opening remarks as we kick off Day 2 of the Rise Up Conference.

Sandra presented her keynote remarks from inside a correctional facility and now she comes back to present a paper at Rise Up as a free woman. We welcome her back and look forward to hearing from this incredible speaker that has made the journey to freedom.
Following her remarks, we will recognize and celebrate Dr. Kathy Boudin.  Kathy with the Rise Up Lifetime Achievement Award. Kathy was a friend, leader, an ally, an inspiration to many of us in this space. She will be missed and we are proud to honor her work and her legacy.
